Has anyone blown up there engines from a bad tune?

Has anyone done that before, like when they first started prom burning? Because with my luck, the first chip I burn will do that.

I just got a PC computer, and my car blew the engine, but I will get some new heads, cam, cheapie headers, AFPR, 22lb injectors and rebuild this franken-motor to something much more powerful. But I have the stock 5.0 SD prom. The block was replaced with a 350 block (638 stamp underneath) by the previous owner.

So when I get the software and everything else, what are the values that I should change to and from that will help me out most? I understand that some dyno runs in between will help further, but for starters where should I look?

Thanks!!

Read thur the stickies, and you'll reduce the odds of that happening to about 0.
