wb02 installation

I ordered up an lc-1 unit, just waiting patiently for arrival Should I be installing the wb permanently or just when i'm datalogging? What about replacing the stock 02 sensor? Do I still need nb when i'm reading wb? Can the wb be installed in the stock 02 spot or should I weld in a new bung?>

THanks.

I run mine full time. Been on the car for 6 years now.
I'd add a bung.
When I use an O2 for ecm use, I still use the oem ones.

BTW, you need to weld in the addition bung, properly.. It's been covered here many times.

Since the LC-1 has a simulated NB output, you could tap that into the ECM as a replacement for the NB. But like Grumpy, I'd recommend adding a new bung. In fact I did - one on each side of the motor! Great trouble shooting tool (running a WB on each bank of the motor). Helps point out problems or verifies everything is running good (not just one bank).

I think i'm going to stick with 3" single all the way back after I install my hedders. Should I install the wb where the two banks come together in the y-pipe before the cat? Will that give me a good reading?

The only *issue* gets to be, understanding the delay in the WB's response. When your working on the AE stuff it's kinda nice to have it close to the motor, but other then that, just about anywhere is fine. Just don't go in the last couple feet before the end of the system...

I wanted to do that too but didn't have a good way to do it.
Your also kind of limited by the legth of the WB connection cable.
I mounted my box on the firewall so it could reach both header collectors if I wanted to swap back and forth.
I'm also running the NB in one collector, that way I could see both sides at one time if needed.
2 bungs in the drivers side collector and a single one on the pass side.

That the way I did it, except I have all of them in use (one NB and two WB).

I just got my lc-1 installed yesterday....driver side, just down stream of the NB. I left the NB hooked up to the ecm for the time being in order to verify its accuracy or lack there of.
Read the instructions carefully with your LC-1. It needs to be powered up every time the car is started with the sensor in the pipe. This makes it a sort of semi-permanent install. Also, take the extra minute and install the 'status' LED described in the instructions. It's cheap peace of mind when not logging.
