autoprom emulation verify fails

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a 89 gta 6E mask.I can read and burn chips, data log but not emulate. When I upload bin it is succesful but when i verify it fails. The chip works in the car if I burn one.Even if I disable the checksum it fails.I know it use to work about two months ago but I can't seem to figure it out now.

preferemces in default xdf are I.D.offset 0X09 mask 0x6E
xdf path c:\program files\tumerpro RT\bin definitions\6E.xdf

I've tried unistalling and reinstalling tunerpro rt and different versions of it.Different usb cables. No luck! What am I doin wrong?Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

I know I need to have the key on to verify.
Preferences to AutoProm, blah, blah
Switch twards the center of the AP
Latest version of TP
Firmware up to date (should be but its nice to check anyway)
Also check the emu cable that you don't have any crossed or piched wires in there.

Try uploading and verifying with the device connected only to the USB port. Upload several times, and verify several times. If you still seem to have a problem, you can of course return it for repair/replacement/refund.

Thanks for the reply Criag.I found the problem about 3 p.m. I had apparently drop it and knocked the chip loose on the inside of the device, took the cover off pushed the chip back in and now works again. It only took me two weeks to figure it out!

Excellent, glad to hear it!

One more thing for anyone else having a program/verify problem with the AutoProm: This can occur if a chip is in the ZIF socket at the top of the APU1. If you're trying to emulate, make sure you don't have a chip in the ZIF socket on top.

Glad you found the problem. Just a note: the latest firmware is 2.13.A. There have been lots of changes since version 2.8 (including fixes to the 160 baud logging scheme and more robust emulation), but upgrading requires a different version of the little yellow chip inside the AutoProm.

You should be good to go with what you've got, but I did want to point out that your firmware is on the older side.
