Need 87 TPI 5-Speed BIN ACYD

It seems that the BIN I need isn't available on any of the web sites I've found. Can someone help me get this BIN? ACYD 1139

I'm just starting to learn to use Ostrich with Tuner Pro RT. It seems like there should be a way to get the BIN off of my stock PROM, but I just don't see how. It looks like I'd need to have either AutoPROM or Flash & Burn to do that.... Am I just being a bone head?

Here's how I got one that I couldn't find anywhere...

92 & 93 Bin request - Corvette Forum

I then sent the message and promptly received a bin. You can ask I gather...

Nope, no bonehead. You either need the AutoProm or a special adapter to fit in the F-n-B to be able to read off a BIN from a memcal.

Craig says that I could use his old DOS based software and a serial ALDL cable to read the stock PROM bin right off the ALDL port. I guess that's what vernw was trying to say too.

I think I'll give that a try.

Actually, I was talking about Craig's HDR1 adapter JP put a picture of up above this post.

That would be a great deal if the the DOS software worked as well. Please let us know the results of your trying that!

You can use Moates DOS software to get a copy of your BIN onto your HDD. I found it by accident the other day, but it loaded into TunerPro R/T no problems!

I have been trying to use the DOS version to get the bin, but I can't seem to get it.... It trys and get the first 8 bits, but then posts a timeout error message.

What ECM & PROM do you have?

What version of Craig's ECM852?

I have the 165 w/ some weird BIN on it. I couldn't find it anywhere, so my first edit we unsoldered it and stuck it in a old fasion reader. However, after I got it running again I was playing with the Moates software and it just worked. I have no idea what version it is, but probably the same as you as I downloaded it off the website like a month ago.

Are you doing it with the car on and not running or running?

I've tried with it running and not running. Craig says that it doesn't need to be running. I've tried different baud rates too. It seems to read the first 8 addresses and then just times out.

I can monitor the engine running parameters and create log files just fine.

It looks to me that Tuner Pro RT should be able to get the bin off the PROM through the ALDL port... Anyone do that before?

What rear end ratio do you have? I can send you a bin for a 88 Trans Am, the only thing changed is the fans and the injector constant, if you want. Its a Federal Emissions, 305 TPI w/ 5-speed and a 3.xx rear end.

My car's a 3.45 9-bolt rear.

I'd like to try your bin. What injectors are you using? I'll need to change the injector constant too.
