i am new to proms but i found for sale a hypertech chip and a ads chip for a 88 350 auto w/ac. will that work on a 305? or not even worth trying?

I fully agree with the previous post. He was dead on ... save your money. I haven't tried this before but, theoretically, a 350 chip should hurt your performance if you install it in a 305. Most notable is the spark parameters. The 305 chip uses significantly more advance due to the inefficiency of the 305 combustion chambers. Fueling is different too.

However, these chips are good for one main thing ... but, its not the 'chip'. The hypertech and ADS chips actually come attached to a nice adapter that can be used by people like us to make our chip swapping easier.
