Another stupid Calmap question

I ordered a Calmap kit from Jeg's.Thanks guys.My stupid question is , will the Calmap software run on a fast computer ? The requirements are 8 mhz.My desktop is a 733 and the laptop i'm looking at buying is a 475.I'm asking because some of my older programs run screwy on my newer puter. Thanks

I'm about feed up with everything now.
1/2 my stuff runs on 1/2 my stuff.
I've had to get 2 PCs and 2 laptops.
I don't beleive any one know anymore about what will run on what.
I had some stuff that looks to go, and then when you actually go to link with something everything dies.
And on Corp Win 2000 some of the stuff runs some of the time.
It's a true nightmare, and that's on a good day. I'm really starting to fall back on just my old DOS stuff on slow machines, cause at least it always works....

Calmap will run on a faster Windows 9X machine. When you start up the computer run in the "safe mode - command prompt only" and Calmap will work fine. I run mine on a P500 with Windows 98 and it (calmap) will only run correctly if I start in the safe mode.

I encounter communications timeout errors if I let windows boot normally and try running in a Dos window, or if I just choose "command prompt only" and not "safe mode - command prompt only". I assume that the "safe mode" doesn't load any drivers which might otherwise conflict with resources used by Calmap.

Completely power down the machine. Then turn the power back on and immediatley start pressing the "F8" key.......eventually during the boot you will recieve a start up menu with options.
