torque converter lock up
torque converter lock up
Already posted on the electronics board, no responses. Anyone have a schematic showing how the four wires going in to the trans for the tcc
are used? I have one in a carb v8 s10 and would like to wire it up with a button for
temporary use without removing the pan.

Not sure of the schematic, But yiou could check your third-gen and find out which 2 wires they are. ALl you need to do is cfind continuity fomr the A and H positions of your ALDL and the harness on the trans. They didn't change the wiring in the trans at all. just a few of the interanls.
Then just put a switch in line and you are set. Hope this helps.
Later,
lars

THANKS lars I thought that if you jumped a and h it would activate the converter, am I right? I was trying to figure out which was power and which was ground, but your right I can figure it out on my camaro.

Here's a schematic showing where everything goes.
Well it looks like you would have to bring 12V to terminal A and you'll lock up the TCC. Or if your harness is instact do like mister Grumpy sugggested by shorting pins A and F on the your ALDL connector.

My heros,,,I knew someone would come through... This one has no original wiring. Im going to try bringing 12 volts to a on the trans and see what happens. I dont believe the converter can lock up in 1st so I should be alright. I just have to figure out a way to use a brakepedal switch in line. I wonder what the other three wires going in are for? 1 would have to be a ground i would think.
