anyone try a 6E instead of a 32B for an '88?

just wondering if this would be the better route to try.. seems the 6E is much more popular and perhaps easier to use/tune. I can't see a reason why it couldn't be used, just turn off the cold start.

anyone try this or have any reasons why/why not?

I did it,
Just disable the 9th. install a 6e and you might need to change your crank fuel muilpers table a little.. thats about it. it's a great chip, timing tables are better too, you'll see a good power gain switching up from a 32b to a 6e.
just unplug the 9th and burn a 6e to your prom and thats it. plus fuel adj are easy

The later the code you use, the better.
Even at GM code goes through developement, so newer really is better.

I totally agree! 6E even runs alpha-n much smoother.

Why will there be a power gain? I have both 32b and 6e and as far as I can tell their very similar. The 6e has a few more items that can be adjusted but I cannot see where any additional power will be gained?
