im new to this chip burning already have my pocket programer and my prom eraser ordered
was wondering what kind of eprom i would need and where i could buy some? ive tried digkey and gave them the 2732a number in the tech section and they said they cant get them anymore it would be great if someone could help me thanks also this is a awsome place to find a lot of info on third gen cars keep up the good work!!

Try JDR. Digi-Key has stopped handling most eproms now. That's where I ended up having to go.

 

An 89 bird uses the 27128 chips - 128K right?

real cheap. There is an auction going on at ebay right now for for a set up 10, and the price is still $10 - no bids yet.

If you don't like ebay, call some of the computer boneyards (recyclers) and see what they get for some. If all else fails, I have some laying around in some older equipment at the office I could probably remove. But I want to save some for myself.
