Anybody with the $6E ecm ID!

Guys, i'm in a real delema here. I'm going to buy the programmer and some blank ecms.
But i need to get the car back on the road ASAP. It is in peices at the moment. All i'm asking is if i could send somebody a stock 89 manual vette chip and if they could just disable the vats and send the bin back to me. Thats IT.... I can't have vats enabled on my 87.
I plan on getting the rest of the hardware and software as soon as i can this summer/spring.

Brendan

If I had the 6E.TDF, I would do it for you. But I have the 8D (SD TPI) so I cannot.

If you want to send me the $20.00 via Paypal to purchase the 6E.TDF from TunerCat, then I will do it. E-mail me if you are interested.

But, do not discuss this any further here as some of the other members are discussing making this a Private Board again. The intent of this board was to assist each other in learning how to burn eproms and tune them; not a forum for people to ask individuals to burn them an eprom, trade/ripoff software, or sell services.

I want to be able to "vote" that this board remain "public" so newbies can stroll in and be guided into learing how to burn an eprom. But if people keep asking others for the "quick fix", it's going to be closed.

Thanks. But e-mail me if you are interested in my offer.

Please don't close the forum! You guys have convinced me that burning my own proms is the way to go! Since I already have a burner
(I am a computer consultant, after all :-) ),
I think I will go with tunercat based on the feedback I have seen in this forum.
Besides, I've got dozens of eproms hanging out here from all the old iron we used to use... :-)

So, is tunercat the best answer for somebody who has never burned a (car) prom before?
My buddy the Snap-On dealer told me I will be real popular with some of his customers if I go ahead and do this...

Corvette 2/4 servo, kevlar band
full poly rear.

This used to be a private forum, on the previous thirdgen.org.. I hope it stays public. If the posts can't seem to stay on topic, maybe make it read-only for "visitors", this should be a worst-case scenario though.

If you still need a $6E BIN, A guy was nice enough to let me copy his BINs, which are $6E-based with VATS removed and a few other small mods. I can send you the BIN file (you did say you have a chip programmer?) or you could send me your MEMCAL and I could write it for you.
