#730 ECM TPI harness needed
Still looking for a third-gen f-body harness for the #730 ECM or the #165 ECM (which I would have to re-pin to my 730 ECM).
Anyone care to share?
Now that I have my FLASH EPROM, I want to begin firing up the ECM and experimenting with it. My Minirammed 385 WILL run some day...

Try your local GM dealer. They seem to have them for reasonable prices(<300dollars).

I've been calling around. None of the yards in the Lansing area has anything remotely close. That's no big surprise. Lansing is probably the biggest automotive wasteland I have ever lived. Heck, I dont think even 200 cars showed up at the downtown car show last year. You have to move east about 50 miles, towards the I-75 corridor.

Hello to all as this is my first post. I am actually acquiring parts for my EFI project-78 Regal w/modded SBC. What I did was go to a u-pick yard and find a Beretta with the cleanest looking 730 ECM and harness I could find. I think with some splicing, this harness will work and for a total of less than $20. The differences are in the DIS to distributor which shouldn't be too hard to convert as the pin outs are the same and all I would need is the plug to the module and of course the missing injector wires which I already have. Some minor things like the AC and egr, etc., which don't have the same pin out might require a little work but I think this will be easier than burning my own prom.<g> Like I said, I *think* this should work for me and for you as well, especially if you are willing to mix a 730 ecm with a 165 harness. If anyone knows different, please let me know.

I might give that a try, Hector. Thanks for the suggestion. There's lots of Barettas laying around here, just no F-cars. It must be the demographics: A College town / state capitol.

My local junk yard has no fewer the 16 3rd gens available, but no 1990-1992's. Your linited by the 3 year production. Try Val ( parts person) at http://www.vandevere.com/ for a new harness.

If you can find a TBI harness repin it and extend some of the wires (tps, iac, inj. etc.)
of course you will need the injector wires which I got off of a V6 buick ( and one extra pair). This is how I did my '92 RS.

Yes, I'm interested. How cheap is cheap? Unfortunately my car cash is drying up fast! The place where I work is having a hard year, we just spent $5K for windows, and on Tuesday we pick up our new minivan with ensuing payments. The Minirammed 385 project may very well become a casulty of war. Still, I need that harness, to experiment with on the bench, if anything.
Are you going to the Motown Muscle barbecue on Sunday? It's at Stony Creek (part of the metroparks). I'll be there. Maybe I could pick it up then!
