Datalogging with TunerPro RT
Hello. I am new to ThirdGen.org and new to PROM tuning, but I have been looking at this site for TPI advice for over a year, and decided to join. I don't have a 3rd gen car (88 Olds Cutlass GT), but I have a 86 305 TPI with a procharger P600B installed. Anyways, my question is regarding datalogging with TunerPro RT. First of all, I am running the 32B mask, 1227165 ECM. I can connect and datalog at 8192 BAUD just fine, and I can record and export the data to a csv file fine as well. However, I am wondering if there is any way to organize the BLM data like WinALDL does? I would like to have the blm tables organized how they are in the definition (LV8 across the x-axis, RPM on the y-axis, and the BPW/BLM values filling the cells of the table) so I can calculate the %error and mutiply my BPW values by that. It just seems like I have a bunch of data from tunerpro, but it isn't organized in any workable fashion. Any suggestions? If you need a better description of what I'm looking for, please ask. I am rather new to the tuning world and still learning the lingo too. I still find it difficult to know how to ask what I'm looking for. If anybody wants to see the files to better understand what I'm asking, just ask and I'll attach them in another post. Thanks. Keith

Hey -- welcome to the boards Keith!
I dont know if you should have let us know it isnt a thirdgen but I dont really care.
I have always had the same question as you in my mind of how to organize the data.
I usually just import into excell and sort the data by BLM cell then by sample number. Then make X-Y plots of BLM vs time for each BLM cell. I dont really get % PW information from this but I suppose you could.

Thanks for the quick reply. I know it's not a thirdgen, but I thought that since it has a thirdgen drivetrain, you guys would be glad to help.
I have the same sort of idea I suppose. Perhaps there is a macro or conditional functions in excel that can take every instance of blm cell x and calculate the average blm value for the corresponding blm cell. I hope this makes sense.
How does the cell numbering work on the BLM tables? Are they numbered from left to right, top to bottom? Also, is the first cell 0 or 1?
Keep the suggestions coming!
