I tried this and it didn't work for crap....Kept shorting the ribbon and it got alittle better but I don't like marginal results...stay away from this your time is spent better elsewhere. Just my $.02

I have a ribbon cable and ZIF. Works fine at a length of like 9". At 18" I was having problems.

Have you (or anyone) gotten a harness extension cable (from harness connector to ECU) to work? I've been trying, but I'm afraid my hands shake too much for accurate pinpoint soldering on a donor ECU socket...
(I'm looking for a local elect repair shop)...Thread
