Is there a way to see how much the ecm is advancing timing? There are a bunch of tables that aren't in tunercat and I'd like to know how to either calculate the advance by temp, rpm, map or is there something in the aldl data stream that tells you?
This is for the 8746 ecm or 7747 TBI.

Ya know, I don't think the spark data is in the data stream. I guess one could change the PROM pretty easily and output that parameter instead of some other useless info... That would be NICE

Jon, if you have the HAC and know the RAM address for spark is, you can calculate it and put it in the ALDL stream. BUT, I have no idea what the RAM address would be for the spark advance. The ALDL list is actually defined in the PROM, and can be changed to show whatever you want!
I kinda like the idea myself, actually...

Then look at the memory (RAM) addresses used in the ALDL stream, then substitute whatever items (by ram location) that you want to look at. Then make the changes in the scan tool to read the new ALDL strea. FWIW, I double entry my O2 so I can keep closer tabs on it with my scanner / data logging.

ttt, I'd really like to know how to do this. I've looked on diy-efi.org but I don't have the time to read ALL the past posts and the searching the archives hasn't turned up any useful information.
