changing injector constant

I have a complete ECM and wiring harness from a 9c1 state trooper car. I also have the cam and a pair on 081 heads and would like to use them on my 305 TBI. Can anyone tell me where to change the injector constant to the 305 size so I can make some test runs without running over rich? Thanks.

1st of all, Do you have the equipment to program Eprom chips?

2nd-in-ly, you'd be best served by using the correct ECM for your case.

What engine was in the trooper car that matches the ECM you talk about above? If its a TPI, this is not going to work.

DOC,Thanks for your reply.

1) I do have what I need to create and burn EPROMS.

2) There are no ECMs ( I think you meant EPROMs) from the factory that are specifically for this combination. I may not have been clear in my post, I want to use the Roller cam from the Trooper car and the more aggressive timing and fuel curves this EPROM has, on my 305 TBI. I need to change the injector constant from the police injector size ( larger than normal 350 applications) to a size more compatible with the 305. I guess I could pour through bin files and figure it out. I have a pair from a 305 TBI and a 350 TBI in the same chassis with same trans, the only differences would likely be injector constant since GM used the same timing and fuel curve on many TBI motors. Unfortunately the ECM is a little different from the 1227747 and so comparing to the COP bin using Tuner Pro is harder since there are some differences I have not quantified yet.

3) This was a 350 TBI trooper car. I don't think there are /were TPI police cars. TPI stands for Tuned Port Injection, and refers to those cool long tube intake runners from the 305 and 350 engines they came on. LT1 and LT4 cars ARE port injected, but there is little or no "tuning" of the runner.

Thanks again for responding!
