Can This Be Done? (noob)

I have just finished installing a 350 K motor with a 1227747 ECM (ASDU PROM) into my Astro Van, and it runs great.
I don't want to change the fueling, but I would like to add an electric fan output.

Is this possible w/ PROM editing?

Thanks.

Talk to RBob. You might be able to add an electric fan if you eliminate the EGR code and do some creative demolition and reconstruction in the ECM code.

I did a 350 TBI swap in my old Astro, and used a 85 or so Camaro fan sensor that screws in head, and wired through a relay.
The switches come in different temps if my memory serves me right. It's been 6 years.
It's got 85000 trouble-free miles now, and a really great swap. The stock 350 carries the Astro up a grade with no slack at all, and still gets 17-18 mpg on road.

Thanks for the quick replies.

Scuzz, that's exactly what I've done, but I don't like the 225 degree on temp. I was hoping to be able to use the ECM, and trim the temp to somewhere around 215.

I have been using a 2.8 Camaro fan switch in my 60* V6 TBI S15 Jimmy for some time. The fan is also run through an A/C pressure switch on the back of compressor. The fans come on at like 210* or 200 PSI.

The ECM cant be used for fan control without substantial mods. Youd have to disable the internal ROM and reprogram it. EBL can do this, but it may be easier just to use a stand alone fan controller of some sort, or a different switch.
