I thought I had my AE tables just right...
Turns out there was still quite a bit more to be gained!!!
I was running slightly modified BDZL $DA3 tables (93 A4 Trans Am). Then I came across a BDLD 93 Z28 M6 AE vs delta TPS which is actually quite a bit different than the automatic Trans Am (particulary in the high deltas). So I put that table in. Woa! Dramatic improvement! And I thought I had it good before!
First the LT4 timing tables, then Glenn's MAT tables, and now the BDLD AE tables!!
Now I'm wondering what other gains are out there waiting to be had...

And those AE numbers?
Re: I thought I had my AE tables just right...
I generated a comparison of AE vs Delta TPS for a few different broadcast codes.
I also generated a comparison of some INV MAT tables for some different broadcast codes, including Glenn's.
Interestingly the BDLD tables are actually leaner than the BZDL at the higher delta TPS values. Proof that more fuel is not always better. The throttle is much more crisp and the power comes on significantly smoother.
BTW, I also just ran the BDZL MAT tables to compare against Glenn's but Glenn's runs markedly better. I'm doubtful I'll be able to improve this area any further. I think Glenn's table is perfect for my setup.

I made another interesting plot...
Here is the raw LT4 timing map and the ANHT timing map...
The second shot is a comparison between the two. Basically a map showing the deltas between LT4 and ANHT.

PS-Thanks for the LT4 timing MAP, it really is not too different from the F-car LT1.

I run BKFS timing tables in my ZZ4 Cammed 350 Vortec TBI engine. The LT4 looks pretty similar at first glance, but I don't have the tables pulled up right now, they are on my laptop.

Re: I thought I had my AE tables just right...
Traxion has some very good AE articles where he talks about pump shot at tip in, etc. His setup was almost identicle -AFR heads, Mini-Ram, etc. That got me going on the AE tables from a LT1 noting that the work he did almost matched what the car wanted and what was commanded by the LT1 bins. One thing he noted was a larger initial pumpshot with a faster decay for AE. If you watch your datalogs you can see this. When it is off you will either see the AFR go lean then rich or too rich then lean out. Exporting a datalog from TP can show this pretty good. The bin I used to start out my tune with was AZUP which may be another one to check. I can't remember what that one is from though.
