Re: What happened
the weather finally broke in the Northeast and it's nice outside. People like me without a heated garage are actually working on the vehicle for a change.
Last week it was 34* rain and slush. This weekend it's 74* in Rochester NY

Re: What happened
Another thing is that fewer people are probably using these systems. Most of these cars are 15-20+ years old, and they dont last forever...

As the weather gets nicer – taking that 15+ old car for a Sunday drive makes up for a week worth of dreary commuting! Also, I think that both TPI and TBI systems are readily adaptable to older carbureted engines, provided that these engines are not over camed. In my instance I have 30+ old ‘classic’ and I am tired of carb being so-so solution. The way I see these induction systems (TPI, TBI, and CFI) will have a third life mixing fuel for many years to come as a viable retrofit for 70’s and 60’s emission ‘crap’ motors.
Yes, I know EFI retrofit is not for the weak hearted, but it can be done without breaking a bank. I am taking a very slow approach in my EFI retro project. These technical boards and people who post collective experiences compile invaluable trove of information for anyone who wants to know more about EFI, how to make it work in early iron and etc.
