New TunerPro 4.14 build available and more...

Hello Everyone -

This past weekend I finally got around to releasing another build of TunerPro. You can get it at the web site: http://www.tunerpro.net/

Included in this release:

v4.14.0323 (6/17/07)
TunerPro Free & TunerPro RT
  • Lots and lots of little stuff, some crashing bugs, plus bunches of stuff I don't remember (been a long time since last release)
  • Added indication in each item editor that data has changed
  • Added warning when closing an item editor if changes have been made but not committed
  • Fixed a copy/paste bug with tables
  • Fixed lots of issues with large binary support (Moates Ostrich)
  • Fixed issue where COM ports above 9 weren't working w/ harware
  • Added ability to import Motorola S records as binaries
Additionally, I've recently released a new build of ScannerPro at http://www.scannerpro.net/. For those not aware, ScannerPro is a very flexible scan and log application originally written as a test bed for code that will end up in TunerPro. ScannerPro is currently in pseudo-beta release state. There's a good deal of work yet to be done on it. Eventually, ScannerPro's features will be integrated into TunerPro RT (version 5).

I also wanted to take this opporunately to let you know that, in addition to the forums (forum.tunerpro.net), you can join the mailing list for TunerPro, ScannerPro, and related discussion at www.tunerpro.net.

And finally, I've also uploaded a new build of EmUtility that addresses a number of issues related to large binary support.

Thanks for your interest and support!

-Mark Mansur

The definition format is mostly stabilized. I'd say have at it. There is a possibility, though, that parts could change in a way that would require you to update your changed definition. I don't forsee anything drastic, though.

Its more likely that logs taken from an earlier version won't be compatible with later versions, at least until I finish up the log format.

Mark I installed the new version on a Vista machine -my desktop and I cannot read any old datalogs. I get a 0D error and it says it is unable to read the file. Would you like me to report this or do some more testing for you on this or is this known? My laptop is XP which is where I will do all my datlogging and I have not tested that yet.
