BLM locked???
BLM locked???
THis might be a dumb q's but im wondering what will cause my blm to lock at 128?? The only difference between 1 chip and another was to change the timing a little. Is it possible that one or 2 of my chips is on the fritz??? This is the only thing I can see. The int is still switching but no blm above or below 128?? Im am using the same bin and it just doesnt seem right to only have changed the timing in the program and then have no blm readings?? Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Re: BLM locked???
Ok so I looked through the search and im wondering if it is possible?? That since i increased my timing that it is running lean enough to not light of the o2 sensor?? is this possible?? If so then I should adjust my ve's again to richen it back up right??? Please help thanks
Re: BLM locked???
how much is the INT moving? pretty weird to have BLM stay at 128. unless it's *perfect* lol
I've been messing with timing and I'm sure it's changed the AFR's a little, but not too much. probably something else

Re: BLM locked???
THe integrator is moving around a bit between 135 and about 120 but nothing huge!! I must have mistakenly checked a flag or set the closed loop temp wrong?? I will check it when i get home. I was just looking to see if anything else can cause this. Do to the fact that I looked over everything 3times and burned 3 chips all with the same accurance. Can haveing my closed loop temp set to 8degrees c do that or not. I would think that it would enter closed loop sooner that way?? Any other thoughts??
Re: BLM locked???
hey C350, can you send me your .bin and .xdf?

I'm not 100% on the closed loop learn on, closed loop learn off stuff but maybe I can spot something off in the .bin

Re: BLM locked???
I don't know what the stock value is for INT movement, but it should move 4 or 5 then switch the BLM by +/- 1. Weird that it isn't
It's probably the same, but with the 7747 EBL going into highway mode and PE lock the BLM/INT. I believe (someone will probably correct me) that going into PE or HWY disables the learn but the computer remains in closed loop. A little off topic, but if BLM is >128 upon entry to PE the computer will do a quick correction and then apply fuel for the targeted PE AFR. WHen BLM is below 128 upon entry, no changes.
I;ve never seen the INT move more than 4 counts and not change the BLM. Of course, I am still a newbie

Re: BLM locked???
This is just weird to me!!! I have a chip with good ve's and good drivability so I wanted to add a little timing of the bottom for some more response and all of a sudden no blm?? I put the other chip back in and its good. I dont have the stuff at work to burn yet, it has to be done at home. Its just driving me crazy that what should be a simple change has locked my blm and now i cant record my ve's to make adjusments after the timing increase. Good thing I carry more than one chip with me LOL
