Pe engagement?

Just a quick question is there a reason to delay when Pe is entered?? That is when every thing else is tuned in. I currently have it set to 50% throttle and nothing below 2000 rpm. If I lean out the Ae enrichment could I engage Pe at a lower Rpm range. Any thoughts would be apprecaited THanks

Re: Pe engagement?

Not sure if you have a WB but I had PE set to 70% originally and I could see the AE event time out and go lean and the PE come in with enrich clearly in logs. Now I believe I could have corrected with AE duration but chose to move PE to 50% and there is a clear blend with no enrichment interruption. the other option was to add AE duration(which means add to AE usec as well) and change PE to 70% TPS. Advantage? Gas Mileage?

PE will still occur under 2,000 rpm. Its just above 2,000 rpm the PE time delay is eliminated. My stock 350 TBI had the Max RPM to delay PE set at 4,250 RPM and the time delay to 15 seconds.

Re: Pe engagement?

[Ok thanks guy's. What im trying to figure out is why I have a bit of a lag under 2000RPm? After that it goes good. I should beable to lite the tires from a stop but it seems like its a little rich until about 2000rpm. So ive been playing with map ae. And figure that Pe may also be a slightly to blame. If I remove to much map Ae It will Lean pop through the intake. And once its to the point where that goes away it seems to be a little sluggish out of the hole. Its a stock bottom end 350 8.21 compression comp Xe262 cam/Rpmair gap intake/Ceramic headers/Msd iginition. 61lbs injectors at 20psi & ultimate tbi mods. I got 18mpg freeway with about 1100lbs of weight in the back last week. Ve tables are within +- 3 of 128 and timing curve seems to be pretty good right now. Just working on detail stuff. Thought Id let you know what the combo was!! THanks for the help Again.

Re: Pe engagement?

take notes on AE values. i ran most of AE in TPS at first. then 50/50 with map. then most in map ae. eventually i settled blend as approx 66% TPS AE.

not sure if this will be confirmed by others but $42 7747 had little resolution of AE for me with larger injectors (80@ 20 lbsFP). was like too much or too little AE. not so with EBL. much better as more resolution.
