ANYN 9375
ANYN 9375
My OEM memcal says ANYN 9375.
I don't see that in any charts.
It's a late 89 Formula Firebird F motor 3:45 gears - T5.
Is this any thing special ?
I'd figure it be listed in the chart I saw at
http://www.iroczone.com/techartpromid.htm#2
Does anyone have this OEM bin ?
ANYN is not even listed on this site in the broadcast code section.........

Re: ANYN 9375
Larry, My car came with ANYX 9375, which is Federal Emmisions, stock on my 89 Formula, LB9, T5, 3:45 gears, (dual cat?). That site does not list my bin either. GM must have made alot of revisions. Is the "Manual" flag checked in your bin? Mine was not, from GM, even though it came in a manual car.
Re: ANYN 9375
How can I check for the manual flag? I have the autoxray 6000.
My car has the dual cats, and was produced in May 09.
it would be interesting to compare our bins.
I have checked various sites, and no one list ANYN.
I also run an SLP prom, (when SLP was selling proms 10 years ago)
and I can't feel any different, except the fan temps.

Re: ANYN 9375
TunerCat does not have an "ANYN" as a valid BCC. For 1989 5-speed LB9s, Tunercats has ANYR, ANYU and ANYW, all which were superceeded by further updates. Of course, that doesn't mean that TunerCat has ALL the BCCs.
Take a picture of the BCC sticker and post the bin. It can then be checked.

Re: ANYN 9375
You can not check it with a scanner like Autoxray. You would have to read the chip with a burner / reader (hardware), then look at the bin with an editor. There is lots of info on this site on how to do it.
Re: ANYx 9375
I double checked my prom, and I was mistaken. It is ANY X.
Not anyn as I first thought. breathing in too much brake clean..
I just ordered a new memcal from GM, just to see what there final release it. It should be here soon.

I've been thinking about this. I have the "shift" light, so it definately know's it's a T5. And the shift light works.

I have noticed on all the bins I checked that were supposedly for m-5's that the Manual transmission wasn't checked but the data for the TCC lockup etc was all zeroed out.

Re: ANYX 9375
I caught on to the letter correction. Apparently the Manual flag doesn't mean anything. It would have been nice if it was used, if for no other reason to tell if you had a manual BIN or not. I still don't know how the computer knows what your rear end gear ratio is.

Re: ANYX 9375
The ecm does not care what the rear is. That is calibrated in tranny. What does change is spark. I have run Bua 3.07, Buc 2.56 Akxz 3.27, and Abtk 2.73, and Abtb 3.07. All in same car. speedo always at 57 mph at 1600-1700 change.
BTW with the Buc, shift lite comes on at 54 mph, OD cruise steady speed only (Its is out of Auto) TC works fine. Abtb is a manual, shift lite, no TC.
The best I can tell all chips were unmolested stock and were removed from the matching cars.
