RPM Wrong?

While doing some datalogging I noticed that my rpm guage (Digital Dash) reads about 600 rpm higher than the Tuner Pro RT reading. Which should I trust?

Re: RPM Wrong?

My first instinct would be to trust the reading from tunerpro as stock tachs are notorious for being inaccurate. If you had a timing light with an rpm indicator it would be easy enough to check.

I'm with what rhuarc31 said. Check out this thread on the electronics board:

The one in the '92 also reads a bit high.

RBob.

Re: RPM Wrong?

All I had to read was digital dash and realized that it probably is the culprit here. Most digital dashes from GM are KNOWN to be hugly inaccurate AND problematic.
