Tunerprort Datalog??
Tunerprort Datalog??
Might be a dumb question but I cant seem to get tunerprort to connect to my ecm?? Its a 7747 $42 and im using the same data stream definition. My comport is set the same as it should be and works with winaldl. But just cant seem to get Tunerpro to get a signal?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks
Re: Tunerprort Datalog??
under preferences check the interface type. is set to max 232? it might need to be with the cable you are using. i have the auto prom and i set it there in certain situations. maybe check sample rate to. i set it to 10 but i have a 7427 ecm.

Re: Tunerprort Datalog??
I have a modified ads that has everything enabaled that I could find. I have tried uploading it to the Moates.net site but keep getting errors when I do.
I'll try and host it elsewhere so you can download it.
Re: Tunerprort Datalog??
yes you can add timing. you need to open the aldl setup screen and then add that into the .ads definition with the appropriate info. you can pretty much get any info you want if you know how to add it in.

From what I have found timing information is not on the 7747 ($42) datastream.

Re: Tunerprort Datalog??
Knock counts is easy. Just update the definition for that data.
Spark timing, not so much. Yes but you also have to hack the bin to replace something that's already in the data stream with the timing info. Personally, I replaced O2 cross counts, as I don't see much use for that myself.
It's in one of these threads, I forget which.

If you can find and post a link to the information, I would be greatly appreactive.
Re: Tunerprort Datalog??
You say to updade the definition file for a knock count reading, But where would you get an update from?? I have just starting using tunerprort do to the fact that im going to be tuning a freinds 7427 and I will also be switching over to that ecm soon. I have currently been using winaldl and it seems to have more info available at first glance- knock counts-blm/int graphing in numerical form etc. Does anyone have a dtatstream definnition for TunerproRT that will give me knock counts etc?? Also wondering how to save a datalog file?? Do you have to enter a title for it first?? Thanks for helping out a newb with this system. Ive used winaldl with go results and now would like to beable have the same results with the newer pcm's THANKS

Re: Tunerprort Datalog??
yes, to save a log you need to go to ALDL setup & then "Select Log File For Rec/Play..." this will give you a window, browse to where you want to save it at & then name it, hit open or enter & tell it yes.
when you record a log & stop it, you can give it a session name & have more then 1 session saved to that log file. to play back a certain session, in ALDL setup, use the drop down box & select the session you want to play back.

I'd suggest you read the whole thread, and Rbob's "Spark Only" article from I don't even know how many years ago, also available somewhere on this forum.
