tunerPro-Prominator
hey guys, I just installed 24lb Ford injectors in my car and was looking to change the contants with TunerProRT. I and using a modded ARAP bin. I'm kinda new to the DIY Prom stuff so I just wanted to double check with you guys. I see in the costants "Single fire FI size@40psig" and "double fire FI size@40psig" both are set at 22.36 in the ARAP bin. is this where I would change my settings and if so I'm thinking i'd be looking to set them both around 24,correct??? Thanks in advance.. all moddes to my car in sig if it helps

What is the part number on the injectors??? It would be nice to know what pressure they flow 24lb before you change the constant. 24lb@36psi equals 26.3lb@43.5psi. Grab the part number off the injector and google it to find the specs. As for the setting, yes your need to change both values.

Re: tunerPro-Prominator
ok, part# from Summit FMS-M-9593-A302
24lbs/hr.
flow rate(cc/min) 255.0cc/min
I'm going to change fuel injector values from 22.36 to 24.0 if that seems correct???

Yeah those are rated 24lb/hr at 39.15 psi....start at 25 and tweak as needed as long as you are running stock fuel pressure
24lb@39.15 psi is equal to 25.29 @43.5 psi.
24lb@39.15 psi is equal to 25.29 @43.5 psi.

Re: tunerPro-Prominator
AFPR is a tool used to adjust fuel pressure right???? You will adjust fuel pressure to get an injector to dispense a certian amount of fuel per pulse. Increasing fuel pressure will increase the volume output of the injector. Decreasing the fuel pressure will decrease volume output.
You now have the ability to change the injector constant as well as the pulse width, ect. with tunerpro and your prominator. There is no need to fiddle with fuel pressure to try to get an injector to react differently in regards to fuel delivery. Set the pressure and leave it alone. Adjusting the pressure is a global cange that affects all fueling tables in the ecm. By trying to tune for part throttle, idle and WOT you would be wasting huge time if you were also changing the fuel pressure at random times throughout the process.
By the way you are going to like your prominator. I had one a few years ago and thought it was a hoot compared to erasing chips. Can you store 4 bins on it at once or has that increased as well??? I used to love having a nitrous tune, a regular tune, a highway tune and one for when the car had to goto a shop so that it could not be revved over 3K.

Its been a few years but I THINK it allowed you to pull out all the fuel/spark at a certain rpm in the form of a rev limiter. You could also limit speed as well via a speed limiter.
