nvram module emulator?

Just out of curiosity I created a POLL... how many people here have one of these nvram modules for the 730? And are you using it as an "emulator" or as extra memory for other software hacks that haven't been divulged?

I never thought that many people would be interested in it, but it seems as of late that a few more folks are giving it a try...

I am in exactly the same boat. I've read about it and understand it, but haven't bought one yet (probably later this year)

I am very interested in the ability to re-flash through the port.

Re: nvram module emulator?

I use it as an emulator. This thing is way cool! It's so nice to be able to change things in real-time over the ALDL port. GREAT IDEA!!!! I gained a ton of horsepower from the SuperAUJP v4 and from the easy of tuning due to the NVSRAM module. Thanks!!!

Again...

I am in this category.
Don't have one, know what they are for, and possibly will get one at some time in the future, as I will be using 1227727 type ECMs, and its nice to not have long runs of wiring or harness extenders for calibration.....

Re: nvram module emulator?

Mine seems to be more on the bench than in the car. Hopefully that will change in the coming weeks.
I want to start beating on my car and the module will make that easier to play OL/CL games to find the combinations that work best for me.

Re: nvram module emulator?

Emulating, here. Real-time tuning was just to neat to not try out, and I haven't tried tuning without it. Hoping to use it again in the next few days after just sitting in the car non-stop for the last year or so...

Re: nvram module emulator?

Emulating here as well, its nice to have the 7730 stashed inside the wall of the Van and not having to touch the chip. Running S AUJP v4 on a TPI Vortec 305 in a Fullsize Van.
