EBL flash -- BLM's not moving
I been using the flash for a week now. At first everything seemed ok I am using the EBL bin 16 for a 5.0L TBI L03--
First run, Ve learn took place changing some areas of BLM,s and it seemed that it was in closed loop and datalog and moving blm,s make me think that I am in closed loop.
Ok so I did a couple of more runs and I was getting a couple of knks at 1800-3000RPM at 70-95 MAP so I turned the SA down a half a degree. So then I ran again and noticed the knk decreasing but BLM,s and INT froze at 128.
I then noticed that the WUD is showing that Clsdloop is not in effect. Datalogs of the runs confirms not in Clsdloop.
Engine when hot, CTS is between 165 and 173F. 02 NB around 450 up to 650-700 area.
NB readings in 600-700 between 1800-2800.
I looked at the bin in TP and clsdloop should be in effect. I tried changing the 02 value of which clsdLoop can take place and I adjusted it to vary in a wider are. Still seems stuck in openLOOP
So I tried re-loading the stock bin again and tried that and still have no luck BLM still 128 locked and clsdLoop still not taking effect.
Only thing I have changed in the stock bin was disable PE, disabled EGR, disabled speed limiter.
I haven't found good info about similiar situations when searching the threads.
I am stuck and need some help to get the tuning started. Could there be a non computer related problem or am I overlooking something in the computer.
1992 L03-- Dual EXH., dual snorkel air breather with K&N, Deleted a/c and smog pump along with CAT removal,
No major mods yet, until I get this tuning stuff down.
HELP,PLEASE!!!

When you cycle ignition from into run position do you get SES light to blink on-off-on during POST test?
Do you know if TP has updated the checksum when you made bin changes???

When I do the POST test i get on - off - on.
The checksum in the 4 different bins are different from original so yes TP is making the checksum.
upon the egr, speed limiter, PE I also read a post that says disable lean cruise. I did and went for 10 minute drive and NO change.
Closed Loop still not entering at 170degF BLM's 128 not moving and INT128 not moving.
I tried to change upper/lower 02 to STAY IN and GO IN Closed Loop
This effort didn't help at all.
I hear fans kicking on and my T-stat is 195deg---- My car usually stays under 180 overall never gets to hot usually runs when warm between 165-176 area.
I am stumped and kinda afraid to go on long drives now at least until this is figured out.
Thanks everyone I really appreciate it

Is your Closed Loop-CTS threshold (constant) set low enough? 50c or lower.

Re: EBL flash -- BLM's not moving
redbird, email a data log and your bin to me at the dynamicefi address. I'll take a look at the them to see what is preventing the ECM from going into closed loop.
From your opening post in this thread the O2 sensor isn't going high or low enough. Stock BIN the lower limit is 200 mV and the upper limit is 800 mV. The O2 value has to be outside of this window. Either lower then 200 mV or higher then 800 mV. This is to be sure that the O2 sensor is alive and well before the ECM will use it for closed loop operation.
RBob.

Re: EBL flash -- BLM's not moving
At cruise is see the 02 at 550 to 700 at times and this is at a 45-50 cruise with a 1000-1200 RPM. Clsd Loop seems eligible I am going to play with 02 value for closed loop.
By any chance will a resticed exhaust pipe be due to this. Maybe causing a high MV I see in the datalogs that the 02 peak at part throttle about 800 could this be caused by too much backpressure???? Just a thought
I will try to send a datalog Rbob, but not sure how I will search and try to find it out. in the meantime I emailed you my bin thanks

The data log shows that the O2 value isn't exceeding the 'go into closed loop' window. It stays inside of it. Here is a screen shot with the O2 graphed during cruise and the o2 mV window values.

Re: EBL flash -- BLM's not moving
Got the exhaust done and i lowered the upper value in which it goes into closed loop.
Took a 3 hour drive and Closed loop is working now and was able to perform VE learn. My car runs real good now Thanks to everyone
Thanks for helping a newbie
