Re: Will this work?

If it works as the Branded Willem programmer (this looks to be a ripoff clone), it should work for flashing and burning most memory ICs.
I do notice it does NOT do the 24pin DIP memory devices (eg: 2732s), so not applicable for the 1227747 style ECMs.....

Re: Will this work?

Must have missed the 2732 in that programmer's list...

Anyway, from MOATES' site:

G2 Memory Adapter: 0.60" Leg Spacing
Allows use of new Flash chips in many GM TBI setups. If the original application accepted a 24-pin chip such as a 2732A, then this adapter will allow you to upgrade to new Flash chips such as the AT29C256 and 27SF512. Soldering required (see product web page).

So this will allow usage of larger memory ICs. Also, there is the switchable type:

G2X TBI-Type Switching Adapter
This allows the GM TBI users who use 2732A 24-pin chips as their stock application to use a 29C256 or 27SF512 chip to hold multiple programs! Must be used in combination with the EX remote switch available separately.

This will allow BIN stacking of different calibrations, and you can select which one you want remotely with the EX remote switch.....
