Disable MAT and engine hardly runs

I need to disable MAT i keep getting low MAT error code we dont have a mat setup



runs in CPI mode and fires every drp
1 injector TBI setup

 

Can you hook up a 4.7K ohm resistor in place of the MAT Sensor? I don't think you can just "disable" the reading of the MAT. Using a 4.7K resistor tricks the ECM to think it's 55*F reading and the ECM will run fine with that reading (for a quick fix).

 

With E6 code you can disable the MAT. The switch is at address 400B bit 6.

Hey Walker how did you get it to fire every DRP. With a CPI memcal I believe its supposed to fire every third from them being on a v6.

I don't understand 400b bit 6 is the mat select bit, it should have worked.
Are you saying that after you unchecked the bit that the car will not run, but with it check it will?

You can read the BBNT one, but I don't know how much you will learn from it its very incomplete. BDKJ is the most complete.

Just a question, but why haven't you upgraded to 0D? and how much tuning have you done with that bin? I have the equivalent of what your working with in 0D if you want it.

Well I can't see where your email address would be posted so I will post the file here. This bin is from a 94 Olds Bravada CPI. I read the bin myself because I couldn't find one anywhere on the net. I think it was the only 0D CPI code used.

I have a couple from 4.3 Astro/Safari vans with the CPI setup. IIRC, they were BHRD and BNBJ they were definately $0D though.

The .bin I cannot find is the 4cylinder automatic S10. I know they were made but I cannot find one. The stick bins lack the transmission coding.

 

I forget about the Astros. Those changes to the bins are mostly transmission mods right? I I'm correct on this, the CPI engines were almost exactly the same the whole time they made them.
