First off I apologize if this has been covered. I'm reading trying to learn etc.

I no longer have my F-body, and LT1 autox car. But when I did I know that the 3rd gen guys were burning chips.......SO my new autox requires a chip, one for an obscure installation so I'd like to do my own.

The car is an 88 BMW 325is. It has a 2.5l single cam I6. I'd like to swap the management from a 92 twin cam 2.5l I6 onto my engine. This has been done and the car runs fine with the stock twin cam chip but I'd like to be able to burn custom chips for it.

I've the hardware down that I need.

My question is, is it possible to use the editor programs to read bins from other vehicle chips?

Any general chip gurus know of an editor available for Bosh Motronic ECU editing?

Edit:my join date is so old as I was originally looking for a 3rd gen for an autox car. Decided on something else.....I've got mixed feelings-I sure miss the F-body torque.

I don't know how defined the Motronic is, but I did see some files in the download section that pertained to Motronic, along with a dedicated Motoronic forum.
