LV8

In tunerpro, is LV8 = to maf grams/sec? the reason I ask is because the "minimum LV8 to enable PE" scale reads from 0-255.

Re: LV8

LV8 is actually an indicator of engine load. I dont know much about the early TPI computers, but in other MAF based calibrations, the calculated load goes from 0-100% and is dependant on the airflow rate and engine RPM. High airflow, low RPM = high LV8. Low airflow and high RPM = low LV8. Its similar to engine MAP, and you can think of it in those terms.

Re: LV8

In early MAF applications it's a loose term used to describe the volume of air traveling through the motor per cylinder per minute. It's not specifically accurate in that it's only a term used by the ecm for other calculations. So basically it's the 'load' of air going through the motor.

Re: LV8

Also it only pertains to spark and has a 1.25 multiplier as to air flow.
