Printing .bin files
Printing .bin files
As a newbie I have attempted to read every article on this forum and others. It never ends, there's always something new I read that relates to my project. One of the things I'm doing is using TunerPro with 8D.xdf and AXXF.bin to get familiar with the contents. Since my engine and harness are still on the test stand I have lots of time to study. That word makes me feel smart (or other). Anyway, I printed the XDF file so I can see what's inside the file, but then I like to see what the bin file holds. Well, I cannot find a way to print out the contents of the bin file. I know I can view it thru TP, but I would like to have both hard copies in front of me, look at a certain instruction (if that's what it's doing) in the xdf file and find the written value in the bin file hard copy.
me if it's possible.

Re: Printing .bin files
Hit F7 in TP. That will list out the constants and flags. The tables will need to be done individually. Not sure if the list is printable, if not then do screen grabs and paste into paint, then print.
Note that there are more calibration parameters then what are in the ECU/XDF files. There is a hac of $8D that shows the whole works (including code).
RBob.

RBob - Thanks for the reply. Prior to your respond I was experimenting with the menu pop downs and found under "File/Export Data To Text File" where a window comes up for placing the file in it's current state (modified or not) under which ever name chosen. Then, I opened that exported file up with MSWord (any text app will work) and printed the document on my printer. Hooray, now I can peruse the info as per XDF parameters. Slowly but surely, I'll get there.
