Bosch 3 #42 Green Giant injectors.

Hi all,

I am asking is any one here running these #42 injectors from South Bay??
I was just wondering how hard they are to tune? I am installing a EBL P4 ECM next week and am planning on SC this engine next fall, ( reason for the big injectors ). Can the #42's be tuned to run well NA with out me pulling out my hair?? I am really excited about the EBL's VE learn capibilities, any way if any one with big injectors could respond that would be great, oh btw i am currently running FMS #24 in her right now so this is one heck of a big step up...GTA

1,

I am planning on a SC, And NOT using the suplied FMU, I want to add all the Aditional fuel that boost will require via the injectors alone...that is why I picked the #42's as they will be plenty, GTA..

I don't see why not, guys run 60 pph on 3.8 GN engines all the time, with a stock ECM and a chip. I too plan on running the EBL, and I will be upgrading from my 30pph, to 42pph when I it is available for my engine.

I'm running 42lb Bosch 3's from FIC. All I did was change the FI constant and mess with the Inj PW vs. battery voltage a little. Car runs fine.

They aren't bad. I have the injector data for those and they tune in fairly well. It's easier to run them clean on an engine like the 3.8L since it is a sequential injection. Batch fire systems are less friendly with big injectors, but you should be fine with the 42's at stock fuel pressure. Good call on not running the FMU.

42lbers should be fine. You may want to upgrade the fuel pump if you haven't done so already.
