Help deciper data log 7060 ecm

Hey guys, I really could use some help with my datalog. My truck is a 93 1 ton dually 4x4 454 tbi 4L80E and it has a really bad problem once it has warmed up and goes into closed loop. I have tested everything and finally was able to get a log to work off of. When I take of from a stop in closed loop it bucks so badly it will throw you around in the cab, I know it is retarding the timing sometimes down to 9 degrees from 16.7 at idle esc plugged in. It seems to do this right before the egr comes on. If I floor it when it starts bucking it will go presumably into open loop and it takes off but as soon as I let up it starts again. Seems to only do the retarding thing when EGR duty cycle is btwn 25 and 35. At higher cycle it is fine. This happens all the time if I am warm and in closed loop. Have been running with map unplugged to force open loop and it runs fine, but pig rich of course. I even tried to run with knok sensor unplugged but no difference so I'm having a hard time thinking its knocking and pulling timing if it did it with the K S unplugged. BLMs swing so widely, 80-170 at the worst.

My Log File from tunerpro rt

http://download970.mediafire.com/wrd...ally1stlog.csv

Some of the columns in the file are mislabled, not sure why. Timing column is at 16.7 at idle, keep an eye on EGR cycle and timing, watch it pull timing right as it opens EGR to around the 30% duty cycle. I am at a total loss.

It isn't a csv file, has an XHTML wrapper around it.

Re: Help deciper data log 7060 ecm

Well after I got through the 4 pop ups I found the log file and downloaded it.

You have low vacuumm at idle. like 44kpa which is about 13 inches of vacuum. should be 19-20 at idle. This will make the ECM run rich and the O2 sensor readings are showing lots of max rich etc...

So I would look for a vacuum leak first! Unless you put a big cam in then your only cure would be a retuned chip.

Re: Help deciper data log 7060 ecm

Interesting I wonder how the op was able to data log his data? I'm running a 4l80e with sb350 in 91 burb so ecm is out of the question. I would like to just data log this truck. Thanks for the response.

Wrong way, 44 KPA is about 18 or so in.Hg. In ECM datastreams, the lower the KPA reading for MAP, the higher the vacuum.

That would be a serious step backwards, it also would not control his tranny.

The 16147060 PCM is a great PCM. I tune one for a friend that has one controlling his big block Olds, with a 4L80E behind it and a custom 4 bbl TBI in his '71 Cutlass.

You won't find any .ADX or .XDF files in the forums on moates.net, you need to go into the filemanger, there is a link on the main page, that says "file uploads and downloads," use that. You will need to be signed in, using an account that you would use to purchase an item from moates.net, but you don't have to buy anything to access the fileman.

Re: Help deciper data log 7060 ecm

Ok so i imported the file and now its an adx file. We plugged it into the truck and and got not quite nothing, but close. It "connected" and the o2 sensor reading moved a little but didnt actually react to anything. That was the only sensor that did anything at all. The rest of them stayed where they were without the aldl cable plugged in. Any tips on what i may be doing wrong in trying to acquire data?

You get 20 free/trial logs with it.

And to be honest a hobbyist who is only doing one chip I also think it's a tab bit on the expensive side.

Well, tbh, I never tried the RT v4 with it, just v5 and a converted adx. I might have to revisit it at some point.

The first thing I remember was no knock count.

I dont know either but its annoying! I get a connection but the o2 is the only thing that changes and i get a strange condition to where o2 and something else swap and flash stuff! Anyway, i downloaded DM85 from datamaster. We'll see how that goes... Im sure there is going to be settings that i will have to change that i wont be able to figure out still.

Re: Help deciper data log 7060 ecm

The flashes are alot like the ones in this video, but i get vertually no engine data. On a side note, the $42 stuff works perfect on my 7747. Just cant get the $85 stuff to work with TP on this truck.

That's good you got datamaster working.

I wish one of the hex gurus could take a look at the converted adx file to make sure it is converted correctly from the ads.

Can you attach your converted adx file here? Maybe that is our issue.

I just double check the dashboard with the converted adx file and it shows desired RPM 3128 so something is very wrong.

Have you tried the ADS file in V4?

I'm sure I got the working $85 files from tunerpro.net or Moates.net.

I'm sure I got the working $85 files from tunerpro.net or Moates.net.
I did but it was a very long time ago, probably 2 years now. I don't recall the outcome but if I get time today I'll take a look at v4 and the ads file to see how it works.

Installed V4 with the $85 and the older ads file and it work great. Used a copy of the working ads and imported it to v5 adx and it fails. Numbers all over the place.

RPMs, knock retard, no BLM reading - nothing worked correctly.

Is data logging with DataMaster TTS an option? I speak fluent DataMaster
