L98 Prom Questions

Ok so im new to the whole ecm side of the thirdgens and im having an issue with my l98 swap, my ecm i ordered has a v6 memcal and as far as i know i cant use that for my tuned port correct? Ive got the 7730 ecm, it just has a v6 memcal, ive been offered an ADBR by another member but when i googled it i couldnt find anything

To my knowledge i need a v8 memcal out of a 90-92 tpi car right? V6 wouldnt run in limp mode for a memcal.... sooooo since im on the search for a very specific memcal is there any way i can get a list of usable ones? ive been told i can use a 305 one as well but im not sure if thats correct

sorry for my ignorance ive been around the boards for years and this is honestly my first time coming into the DIY PROM section lol

Thanks in advance

Re: L98 Prom Questions

It won't run in limp mode, just have the wrong injector firing rate and the wrong spark timing.

Are you going to tune it yourself? If so you can use that MEMCAL. Just need to make a few changes to it.

The v6 one? Really? That would really help right now, and yes a friend is burning me a prom for it

Ground pin 56 of the MEMCAL. That will set the correct injector firing rate. For the PROM, can either: use a G1 adapter (moates.net), remove current and replace with socket, erase current and re-burn.

The knock filter and limp mode calibrations won't be correct. But in a pinch this works.

A code doesn't put the ECM into limp mode.

AUJP would be the one you want, if you can`t figure out the v6 memcal.
