guys who've dyno tuned their engines
Re: guys who've dyno tuned their engines
One thing I'm interested in knowing too is, if you tuned with a wide band, how well does the programmed PE value correlate with what the engine is actually doing? I.e., if you programmed in 12.3:1, do you see 12.3:1 on the WB or is it very different?

AFR 195 headed 383 at 11 to 1 compression, ported holley stealth ram made best power at around 12.9-13.0 to 1. I do not know the programmed PE value vs actual tho.
I never logged it to see what commanded Air fuel was at WOT. I may beable to figure that out by the bin file but not sure.
Another stealth ram car I did abit of dyno tuning on but mostly track tuning seemed to do best at 12.6-12.7 to 1 but we only did 3 pulls to see what was going on. I didnt get a chance to really smooth out the curve. It started at closer to 12.2 to 1 and tapered off to 12.8 or so but suffered valve float so we didnt mess with it too much more.
Now on that setup, commanded air fuel was 11.22-11.26 to 1 and it was basically a whole point off that and then some.
