IAC behavior question

IAC behavior question

sanity check-
when you short out the ALDL and the ECM runs the IAC down to zero counts, should the plunger be run all the way in (towards the IAC motor body) or should it run out (away from the IAC motor)????

it should run away from the iac motor, so if the iac was out of the t body
it would shoot across the room

That's what I thought- my stupid IAC adapter must be wired backwards!

If it is stepping in, just swap the two wires on one of the coils. That is all that is required to make it step out.
