asynch fueling

What is trigger for above as it pertains to WOT?

Is it when the DC exceeds 85%

Or is it RPM based in the EBL.bin? I dont have laptop with me today to locate asynch triggers.

Reason I ask it I am currently locked synch to help the idle PW. Before I locked synch it would fall in and out to asynch idle.

Two years back I upped fuel pressure from 19 lbs(75 lbs injs) to 26 lbs since I am now running N20 at about 75-90 HP shot.

I may be above to reduce FP a bit and run asynch for WOT and when N20 is armed.

Re: asynch fueling

There is both an RPM and a MAP threshold to exceed to enter async mode. There is a set of RPM & AMP parameters to exit async mode.

Re: asynch fueling

Do BOTH RPM as well as MAP qualifiers need to reached to allow asynch?

If I have N20 "on" set to 3400 would I set RPM to 3450 to enter ASY and 3350 to exit?
Or should I set that RPM higher to say 4500?

I run sometimes 95 MAP for WOT so I could set MAP to 90 for on ASY and 85 to leave asy?

Unfortunately i would then be fueled ASY over 3400? Unless I move to 4500.

Does that mean under 3350 I would run sych and under 85 MAP same?

I am trying to avoid unnecessarily high fuel pressure.

Can not comment on EBL triggers since I do not currently use EBL. However, assuming the EBL idle sync/async algorithms are similar to GM code, then I would say from my experience if switching sync/async disturbs idle quality then your injector offsets are not correct. Sync mode or async mode at idle should give the same amount of fueling provided the injector offsets are correct and you have the minimum pulse width set high enough to remain in the linear operating range of the injector.

Re: asynch fueling

Thanks for commenting. My synch idle is very good.

My offsets were derived from RBobs 3001 bin which is almost identical to my fuel pressure and inj size.

I want to reduce fuel pressure, if possible, and still attain 85% DC. Plan is to increase N20/fuel beyond where it is now and still have capacity. With asynch i believe I can attain this and have FP at or below 26 lbs. I dont want to go 28 lbs for fear it will then affect idle, OL, AE, choke, crank fuel , etc etc.
