timing table
I have noticed I don't get any pinging at WOT through the 1/4 from a standing start or slow roll. With the same timing settings if I go WOT from say 50mph in second gear I get pinging in the 3000-4400 RPM areas. If I'm in second gear and and hold the RPMs at 4400+ and go WOT I dont get any pinging at all. So I pulled 2* from 3000-4400 RPMs on the high load area of my main spark table(I only use the main table and zeroed out other timing tables). So now I'm at 28* from 3000-4400 and build timing to a max 31*, 4800 RPMs +.( cam pulls to just over 6000). I havent gottn a chance to test do to bad weather but does it seem that I'm correct in my adjustments?? Thanks

Re: timing table
Sure its not false? Ae enrichment enough at 50 mph/second gear hits? Holding at that rpm and mashing doesnt produce retard and none during full pull 1/4 mile, leads me to believe it may be a tip in issue or false

Re: timing table
My knock sensor picks up a lot of engine noise as a false knock so I have my knock sensor turned off. Its def real knock I can hear the pinging.

Re: timing table
Ok check the accel enrichment based stuff to see if that helps.
Then again it may not want anymore timing there. Just odd it doesnt occur all the time like during a full pass. I know your motor has been very picky on timing

Re: timing table
ok, so I tested it out at wot in 2nd gear after pulling 2* from 3000-4400 RPMs(28*). stilling pings but less then when it was at 30* at same RPM range. Max timing in both bins was set to the same 31* over 4800 RPMs.. I did see a few lean spikes once I went WOT, saw one the was around 15.5 AFR before going mid to high 12's over the pull. The next one went 17.5 AFR before going mid/high 12's AFR.
Would the lean AE spike make pinging for a few seconds?? Also how to I correct the AE, what exact table in 6E???? Thanks

Re: timing table
See if it responds to ae vs delta lv8. If not there are few others in there. That lean out could definately be an issue
