$8D Open loop cold start problems

7730 $8D. 350 TPI, 5spd, Edelbrock Vortec lower, Vortec heads, SLP siamesed runners, comp cam xe274 (.490/.490 230/236) 24lbs injectors. No smog or AIR, but I have the charcoal canister still.

On a 100% cold start I have really bad stuttering/chugging when I try and drive. The idle seems about as smooth as the car gets. Once it goes into closed loop everything is fine.

Not sure if it is a rich or lean condition.

I pretty much zeroed out the Loop Open Param, AFR % Change Vs. Coolant and the Startup Enrichment Vs. Temp tables. It seemed worse on startup. I put the startup enrichment vs. temp table back to stock and it seems to no stutter as much.

What should I be looking at to make a cold startup run smooth?

Have the VE tables been tuned in yet?

RBob.

I was working with Tuned Performance on the VE tables. He said he got them pretty close. I haven't been in contact with Brian for over a month though.
