EBL stalling after last ve learn

I have been doing ve learns with my car and have just had a problem after doing my last one. The car was running pretty descent lately but I now have a big problem. I finished doing my latest ve learn and then I shut the car off. I flashed in the new learn onto the flash bank and then started the car back up. It will start right up but immediately stall. It will run rough but stay running if I keep giving it gas. When I managed to get the car driving (barely and still stalling), my blm's were ranging anywhere from 135-160. What did I do wrong to cause this? If was running pretty good one minute and after doing a flash this all started. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you really want to know what changed use the compare bin function in Tunerpro. I would go back and reload the previous bin (the one it was running pretty good on) and make sure it was actually the velearn that caused the car to stall.

I tried to load the previous 2 bins but it keeps doing the same thing. Here is a shot of my low speed ve table. Some of the numbers seem very low to me.

If it was running on the previous bin and it doesn't run on them now then it isn't the bin. Something else changed on your engine (fouled plug, plug wire etc.)

Plugs /wires all look good. Fuel pressure is good as well. I think it has to be something with the ecm. It was running perfectly fine. I shut it off, flashed in the new bin, restarted in immediately after that and this is where I stand.

Re: EBL stalling after last ve learn

That VE table in post 3 looks to have been corrupted, or bad data from the O2 sensor is creating a bad learn.

Try this: while observing the CEL/SES light do a key-on, engine-off. The light should, turn on briefly, blink off, then turn on solid. Can repeat the test after 10 seconds of key-off.

Anything other then the blink off the ECM is in limp mode.

Do you think that my o2 sensor is bad? I will check what you told me on the check engine light.

I just checked the check engine light and it functions as it should.

Re: EBL stalling after last ve learn

So the car is not in limp mode. What could have caused the data to be corrupted? Also, when driving around looking at the ve table screen on the WUD, all of the numbers are zero. There are no values on the table at all.

Re: EBL stalling after last ve learn

Not sure why but I've seen where Tuner Pro needed to be closed then re-opened. Otherwise the data just isn't correct. Not sure if the user read in the wrong file as the BIN or such, but that could have been what occurred.

As for the ve table screen, need to start a VE Learn before that data is populated.

Re: EBL stalling after last ve learn

Has there been any solution to this problem? I know it was back in november but my car is now doing the exact same thing. Was running fairly well, doing ve learns getting better. I then installed wideband, adjustable fpr and gauge. And it was still working fine, did a couple more ve learns then on the last one it would surge go crazy lean then stall. Tried going back a couple bins and it does the same thing. Won't even run for 30 seconds anymore. Fuel pressure is reading lower than i'd like at around 9 but it was at 9 when it was running fine. And when I first started it after installing regulator gauge and wideband the wideband and cafr were almost identical. And going back to that bin does me no good. Initially was thinking my fuel gauge was lying to me so I added more fuel, no change, and like I said pressure never dropped from where it was. Please help, very frustrating when progress goes in reverse.

Update: went out today and it started and ran good, didn't have time to get it up to temp but looks like this is going to be an intermittent problem

Forgot to mention it's a 350 tbi if you hadn't guessed by the fuel pressure, vortec heads, using vortec sa tables and base timing was set to 0

Re: EBL stalling after last ve learn

I haven't really driven the car since then. it gets parked for the winter and Im just putting it back together now after modifications that were made to it over the winter. I just added a wideband to mine as well. Once I get it going i'll see where i'm at now.
