New to PROM burning

I am completely new to PROM burning. I have read Traxions's guide as well as hours of other info on this thread and would like to thank the folks who have supplied all of t his information. I purchased the Moates AutoProm Package and the G1 memory adapter and the HDR1 which is what I was told I would need. Also I have downloaded tunerpro RT on my laptop. The package came with all the cables I should need to connect everything, but what I'm not sure of, is how to connect. Could someone break down the connections and what they are used for? ie, datalogging, burning the prom, etc.
My car is stock at this point and for right now I just want to go in and change the fan temps and thermostat and disable the cold start injector.
Also, is there a way I can see what is on the PROM that is in the car now so I can save it and then make changes that way?
My car is an 88 IROC L98 auto.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

Re: New to PROM burning

As far as the 9th injector goes start with aujm. The stock prom is soldered in do you need use the hdr1 to read it. The mask your using now is $32b you should upgrade to $6e.

You might want to change your tcc lockup speeds as well.
when you go to burn watch your offsets. You will only be using 16k bit file.

If your wanting to datalog this might help
