You might want to state your mask your working with.
why such large injectors?
To do wot you need a wideband .

Re: need adjustment tips for tunerpro bin

Tpi masks are $1f for 85, $32 for 86, $32b for 87-88 and $6e for 89.
85 uses a 1226870 ecm 86-89 uses a 1227165 ecm.
90-92 speed density uses a 1227730 ecm and $8d mask.

Re: need adjustment tips for tunerpro bin

thanks, 89 model $6e mask with 1227165 ecm. Seems to run ok in park or neutral. When i put it in Drive it will idle and run up to 70mph. The problem is I cannot push accelerator Pedal down more than 1/16th of an inch.
If l just press pedal normal ... engine immediately Stalls. I have burner and can alter bin just don't know where. If it's the injectors (recommended) I will replace them with smaller set. Drinking gas. Had one chip leaned out in MAF tables 5 and 6. Changed PE tables from 21lbs to 42lbs to match injectors. No change. Any Help on this is appreciated.

Re: need adjustment tips for tunerpro bin

Let’s start with the basics. Choose a 6E bin and change your injectors to 42 lbs in both double and single fire constants

42 lb inj are fine they are not the issue unless they are bad injectors

set desired idle speed to 900-1000 warm 1100-1150 cold coolant

PE mode spark advance adders make them all 0, and go into your main spark table and add those values in there

for idle areas of 800-1000 rpm and 60-80 lv8 roughly, i would put in 25-28 deg.

Take maf table 1 and 2 scalars up one value, or multiple the actual table values by like 3-5%.

Disable closed loop by setting coolant temp enable really high in the constants

try starting and idle it. Does it start and run? Does it stay running? Get a wideband o2, this helps tremendously to tell where you are for fuel

whats probably going on in your current situation is any moderate throttle its going lean. Above 3000, maf table will start to approach maxing out. PE enrichment vs rpm tale now comes into play. You will need alot of adder here most likely depending on which bin you started with. Wideband o2 comes in handy here. Only so much you can do with narrow band

Re: need adjustment tips for tunerpro bin

Ok, used a good 6E bin and changed my injectors to 42 lbs in both double and single fire constants.
Changed PE mode spark advance adders to 0, and adjusted at main spark table .
Changed idle areas of 800-1000 rpm and 60-80 lv8 in 25-28 deg areas.
Changed maf table 1 and 2 scalars up one value, was in the area of 3-5%.
Raised temp settings to disable closed loop in constants.
Started but no idle... surging while holding throttle position slightly open
Died when i let off gas. The wideband sensor is installed at exhaust but still needs gauge wired... maybe next weekend.
I have a 6e chip that will idle but no excelleration but cannot copy off it or read it. Using moates burn2.
any suggestions appreciated.
attached is a pic of spark table, looks like timing is way advanced

Re: need adjustment tips for tunerpro bin

If the wideband is not running yet try pulling a spark plug and seeing if its wet with fuel.

starting and dying with out throttle open kinda sounds lean, but could also be slightly rich. First gotta verify tps is proper volts closed and iac counts are in the teens at idle. You may to do a iac reset and open the throttle blades more to maintain idle

but fuel verification could help here. If its lean you can mess with the maf tables some or also try the open loop afr change vs coolant temps. Or also the open loop afr vs lv8. Both of those can help. Esp cold starts where motor needs to be richer to run well before getting up to temp. Maf tables i would adjust at operating temp

Re: need adjustment tips for tunerpro bin

I cant see the timing in your pic but mainly dont want to see more than 34 deg or so at high rpms above 3200 at lv8 of 192-208 ish. Thats wot. Cruise between 80-170 lv8 can be mid high 30’s generally. Lower values at lower rpm.
Light lv8 stuff may get closer to 40 deg.

arap is very aggressive looking i usually knock that down after adding pe mode advance

Re: need adjustment tips for tunerpro bin

As far as your $6e chip you can’t read, have you tried reading as a 27c128 ?
It could be another chip moates burn 2 is not capable of reading. I had this occur awhile back and had to use my pocket programmer to do a read.
Your pic is to small to read

Burn2 Moates reads eprom ok but not able to find file/bin in directories. Is there a trick to finding this read?

This is chip that somehow got the right info. Just needs midrange and wot adjusted. Tried to find file and read in Tunerpro. I originally burned this but didn't write it down. lol

After reading, simply save buffer to a file. Its up to you to select a path and give it a meaningful filename.
