EBL FLASH WB VE learn

How does the wide band VE learn calculate corrections? I have some areas in the 13. afr and the learn takes out way too much fuel putting me in the 17 or 18's? Any way to make smaller corrections?

Does the WUD's Wideband readout agree with your gauge? It should be very close if not exactly the same.

You have "WB" selected under VE Learn in the Preferences?

You have the BLM locked to 128 by forcing open loop when doing WB VE Learns?

Yes, the data log readout is very close to the gauge display. I disabled closed loop by setting closed loop - CTS threshold to 151C. WB VE learn is selected. The learn overshoots in either direction. The slightly rich cells become lean and the lean cells become rich. Do another learn and It's back where I started. My car runs really well if I edit each cell manually but that's a real pain.

Re: EBL FLASH WB VE learn

The WUD compares the commanded AFR to the WB reported AFR and adjusts from there. Are the minimum and maximum engine coolant temperatures in the VE Learn Preferences set up for the typical engine operating temperature?

Another possibility is that the WB reported AFR is spiking high/low. And those values being averaged into the proper values are skewing them.

Or there is too much filtering of the WB signal which is causing a lag in the value regarding RPM & MAP.

RBob.

VE learn is between 170 and 220 degrees. I changed the filtering to 0%. Looks like that did the trick. It's not making such drastic changes now. Thanks to all for the help. My car wants 13.5 - 13.8 AFR below 1200 rpm"s. With a hotcam It idles good in open loop @ 50 MAP and 750 RPM's
