EBL troubleshooting

Car left me stranded. Towed it home and changed the ignition control module. starts right up but now has an SES light. I took a data log to try and get an idea (attached) I'm scratching my head. my O2 sensor starts going crazy at about 40 seconds in. I cant confirm it wasn't doing that before as its been a long time since I hooked up to the EBL and checked things out but why the SES light all of the sudden? I changed a Map sensor a couple weeks ago and the car ran fine. then I changed the map sensor connector in the process of pulling the distributor to change the ignition control module.

Re: EBL troubleshooting

IAT/MAT low, did you unplug the sensor and not plug it back in? A low error on IAT/MAT is basically an open circuit. Can see in the WUD Diagnostic display that it is an open circuit. Reporting -40°F/°C to the ECM.

Re: EBL troubleshooting

I'm seeing something different than you are Rbob. Maybe i have an outdated version of the WUD? Im showing oil temp at -40 but CTS and IAT at 59/63 degrees.

Re: EBL troubleshooting

To see the raw, real, actual sensor values use the WUD Diagnostic display. Otherwise you are looking at default values that the ECM creates and uses when there is a bad sensor.
