guys is this too big of a cam to work?

I am looking at a Comp Cams cam with 230/244 @.050 with a 112 LSA. Is this too big for a GM computer? I am using a 92Z28 computer.

The engine will be a 406 roller motor with Edelbrock RPM heads 10 to 1 compression and 125-150 shot of NO2. I have a complete Superram intake and 30 lb injectors with a 58mm throttle body.

The SD ECM should be able to handle with appropriate changes to the eprom. How are you going to add extra fuel while the NOS is engaged? If you plan to use the ECM/Eprom to handle all fuel via the injectors then you may wish to rethink you injector size.

sorry for the ignorance but I do not even have the NO2 system yet but you are right I don't want it leaning out. What are some other options besides getting bigger injectors? I already got the 30lber's at a wicked good price. They are the TPIS ones. Could I increase fuel pressure?

What size injector would you reccommend?

Also I don't plan on using the NO2 all the time its just to have it and use it once in a while. I won't even have it before I roll out the car this summer

Nobody answered your cam question.

I dont know much about selecting a cam, but just first thought about your selection, I'd would think that its too big.

FWIW, the Magnum TPI project car, is a 396 stroker small block with a 3.875" stroke. They installed a Comp Cams 224*/230* @050 with lift 0.536"/0.544" (with 1.6 ratio rockers).

This project car also has the SuperRam, like you and me.

So I guess that it depends on at what rpm that you want the power to come in. I believe that they are expecting the power to come in at about 5800-6000rpm.

With your choice, the power would peak at over 6,000rpm.

Concerning the fuel injectors, your choice of 30#/hr injectors is good to go, I think.

When you finally get to running NO2, I would recommend that you burn a new chip just for nitrous, or install a wet kit.

yeah I was looking at a cam that size too. I was going to lean towards the 224/230 more because I figured it would be more friendly for the computer. I am definately go ing to go with a wet kit I feel alot safer with one.
