ebl closed loop and PE

I've been working on an issue of running rich. I recorded a drive and noticed 2 things that don't seem right. Its always in open loop. could this be do to the rich condition? and its always in power enrichment mode. anything but idle it's in power enrichment. This is a new laptop and I'm starting over from scratch. What parameters do I need to change to correct this?

I like guessing games...

Check the PE enable versus TPS% & RPM table.

If so equipped, check the MAP & RPM table.

Even better yet, check the TPS% and MAP sensor values first.

During the drive at one point, tps was 20% and map was 55. rpm was about 1600. I saw before that these conditions are met here, but curious if this was the stock tune, since I never changed this. My thought would be tps at least 50% or more. I don't know why its staying in open loop, and which to address first

None of the provided four TPI BINs have those low TPS% values. Not sure what you are trying to say, copy the values over from a provided BIN...

RBob.

P.S. going through the other P4 BINs, none of them have values that low.

I'm not sure what happened here. I'm going through the bins and none of them have low values like that, except for the one that I used. I'm having an issue when I save a change, it says cannot write to change log file, but when I save to exit it saves. Sometimes the ve tables change when I reopen a bin as well. Maybe other things are changing too.

If you have any anti virus programs running, delete them. They go too far beyond what their intent is. To the point we have seen them corrupt, on purpose, newly created BINs from a VE learn.

We have also seen where they interfere with the USB data stream. Both that and a BIN are binary, so these programs freak out on them. Thinking the PC/laptop is under attack. And counter attack, screwing everything up...

This may be due to the resolution of the table values. Which is normal. Save and close the table, then immediately reopen. Any change between the original table and the newly opened table is likely due to resolution.

This is where a certain amount of change is required/allowed. If the amount of change is too small, it will revert back to the original value. If the changed too value is in between values, it will change to that of the resolution.

I wish I knew which thread explained this the best, but here goes a little.

On a VE table value, the resolution is 0.391. So that is the multiple of what values will be used. If the value of .400 is entered, it will revert to 0.391

Along with the high side, values need to be an even multiplier of 0.391, No need to force this yourself, just use the values you need, and let TunerPro take care of the rounding.

A side note, the main SA value resolution is .352

Oh wow, that's good to know, thank you. This is a dedicated laptop so I don't even use the internet with it, so I will definitely do that. I've seen the table values round up, I understand that, it makes perfect sense, thank you.
