Code 42

Intermittent code 42. I rerouted the wires away from spark plug wires/inspected. New GM ICM. Pops up after warm. Shut the car off and immediate restart and it's gone-stored only in EBL P4. wiggling all the wires while running and it doesn't pop up. Is next most likely culprit the ECM?
Update- thank you member "Tuned performance". Bought a reman.730 ECM from him, swapped the EBL board over and finally no code 42! I was just having a hard time thinking that an ECM could fail and only throw the code 42 once in a while-I had always thought when they failed everything was dead.
