If you look in the display pages, you'll see the error codes displayed as a '1' if they have been identified. However, there is not an active page which will preferentially display what codes have been set.

There will be revisions in the not-too-distant future, and that will be included.

So can I abandon the 160-baud stuff now that someone else has software for it? Let me know.

So, what should the new revision include? Let's see:

1) Display and allow reset of codes
2) Display IAC counts etc on summary screen
3) Show MAP value in kPa
4) Try & simplify serial routines to make them more robust, giving control of port power & such
5) No addition of support for WinME/2000/NT/etc planned, DOS-based character will stand.

Really running out of ideas for bells & whistles. Maybe a help file with FAQs?

Any other thoughts? The first three items are very quick & easy. The 5th is defacto. The 4th could be some fun...

Craig

As I believe the great people who brought us the pocket programmer put it, "avoid windows ME like the plague" I'd say your dos version is great, especially since im sure alot of people are using the 486 ebay special laptops for this.

As far as things to change, i haven't used it nearly enough yet to tell you. I do have one thing to say though.

THANKS!!!

Could you make your software be able to read the log files ala Diacom Plus?

1) Reading log files, maybe so. Might be able to write a little routine to let ya pull up variables and plot em versus time or each other. Or just the data, either way. Probably restrict the function to only the most critical variables.

2) Could do some b@st@rdization of digital dash. That's so frilly though...

Anyways, anything's possible.

I think this is probably the best idea out of the whole bunch suggested thus far. Since this software's purpose is data retrieval for the purpose of tuning, anything that makes the analysis easier is worth my money.

It would be fun and give my passengers something better to look at! Sometimes the screen data presentaion seems a bit disorganized

I would like to see the priority on functionality rather than aesthetics however if you have time and funding limitations.

Thanks for listening.
