Got 29c256's, need ZIF...

I need to get a ZIF socket. I figure I'll just do the classic "mod the memcal" move. I'm to poor after buying all the crap for the TPI swap to get the Moates thing (very cool by the way).

getting to the point...

Who sells the lower profile ZIF sockets that does not charge ~$40 for shipping and handling for a ~$5 socket? Digikey??

If anyone has an extra few laying around, I'll purchace...

Any pointers or sockets needing offloading, respond.

Thanks

You might try:

They're very reasonable. I don't think they have a minimum order, and they just charge actual shipping. Usually cheaper than Digikey on most stuff too. I know for sure they have the low-pro for like $5 or so. Might see something else you like...

Thought I had a low-pro rattling around somewhere, haven't seen it lately. Might need to go up in the attic...
